Our copper water bottles are made of 99.72% pure copper with traces of other metals such as zinc and aluminum in it which helps with increasing the durability of the bottles. Each of our copper water bottles is made out of a single sheet of copper and is absolutely seamless. Our bottles are made for the sole purpose of reaping the benefits of Ayurveda through Tamra Jal or copper enriched water.
There are a lot of manufacturers who claim that their water bottles are made of 100% pure copper but in reality, there aren’t many sellers selling 100% pure copper water bottles as these water bottles are exorbitantly expensive.
Each one of our bottles is handmade by skilled artisans who have mastered this craft over the years and have been following the same profession generation after generation.
The use of copper utensils for storing water is nothing new and has been prevalent for centuries. It is believed that water stored in a copper vessel such as a copper water bottle is free from any disease spreading germs and is suitable for drinking. Copper is a metal which is bestowed with an oligodynamic nature which means it has a fatal impact on the bacteria present in the water. In fact, studies have been performed to prove the same.
Ayurveda recommends drinking room temperature water only. Copper water bottles are ideal for storing water at room temperature only. It is recommended that you should not store hot or cold water in it.
The water should be stored in the copper water bottle overnight or for 6-8 hours in order to get the most from your copper water bottle.
Our water bottles do not carry any logo. The logo you see on our product images is a watermark and not an actual logo on the product.
Yes, it sure does help if you are dealing with copper deficiency but make sure to consult your doctor and take the required medication as well. Copper water only contains a trace amount of copper which may not be enough to treat your copper deficiency thus it is important to first ask your doctor about your conditions and then start with anything.
Yes, it is suggested to wash the water bottle before you use you use it for the first time. You can use some warm water and liquid soap to wash the water bottle. After rinsing the water bottle with water, immediately wipe off the excess water from the surface of the water bottle to prevent tarnishing and discoloration.
Copper water tastes just like your regular water from the filter. Although a lot of people say that the water tastes metallic, it does not. The copper particles which leach into the water are not enough to change the taste of the water in any way. You may only feel a slight metallic taste only if your tongue accidentally touches the bottle while drinking.
We are situated in India, the land of Ayurveda and yoga.
The purity level of copper used for making copper water bottles is very high and the traces of copper absorbed by the water is in no way enough to result in copper toxicity. Just make sure to drink the water within the stipulated quantity (400-500 ml) and it won’t cause you any harm.
Pure copper does get tarnished or I should rather say, it develops a patina with regular usage as well as the passage of time. If your copper water bottle is made of pure copper it will eventually develop a patina which does not affect the efficacy of the water bottle in any way. Just the appearance changes a little bit.
If you don’t like the look of the natural patina, then you can easily polish your copper water bottle and make it look like it’s new. Combine lemon juice or vinegar with salt to prepare and paste and then rub it on the surface of the bottle with a used lemon halve or a soft cloth. Once clean, rinse the bottle well with water and wipe off the excess water with a soft cloth before leaving it to dry.
